WCHS Graduates sit during their graduation ceremony with black and white caps and gowns. A crowd of supporters are in the background.

On Sunday, May 22nd, Wirt County High School graduates celebrated their achievements at the commencement ceremony.  With bright faces, student leaders and school personnel spoke about the accomplishments of the Class of 2022 and the exciting future that lies ahead of them. This event was the capstone of a week full of festivities including senior events like the tribute, awards, and final walk out.  Students were also honored through the College Decision Day ceremony hosted by Mrs. McCallister, the school's Gear Up Coordinator.

In the photo above, seniors walk out of WCHS for the last time as students, led by Kelsey Moore.

This year's senior class has faced overwhelming challenges including navigating virtual courses throughout the pandemic.  However, each graduate was able to overcome those challenges and now realizes how much stronger they are because of them.

WCHS would like to wish all 2022 graduates the best of luck as they go on to pursue post-secondary paths including technical school, college, careers, and the military.  We are proud of you!
