On October 31st, Wirt County High School held a pumpkin drop.  Throughout the month of October, students worked in their Development Guidance classes to design a container that could protect a pumpkin from a drop off the third floor of Wirt County High School.

Out of the 17 pumpkins that were dropped, 5 survived.  The containers were then judged based on creativity and innovation.   Mrs. McCallister's DG won!  Their reward is a pie party in the month of November.

Special thanks to all of the teachers who allowed students to design their containers and Mr. Myers, Mr. Hill, Mr. Cottrell, and Mr. McCulty for serving as our roof crew!
