WCHS Weekly Events for the week of November 9 - 14, 2026.
WCHS in partnership with Northstar will present appropriate and inappropriate touch, personal boundaries, consent, recognizing uncomfortable situations, saying no, identifying trusted adults, and how to report concerns. It will use age-appropriate language without graphic content. If parents wish to opt their student out, please send a note to the main office by 8:00 am on Monday, November 9, 2026.
Navigating special education can feel complex, but you don't have to do it alone. Connect with the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) through their dedicated monthly Parent Engagement Office Hours. These virtual sessions, hosted by Taffy Robertson, Parent Engagement Coordinator, are a welcoming space for all parents and families of children with disabilities.
Bring your questions, learn about the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, or simply share your child’s successes and celebrations with a supportive community. All are welcome, from those new to the process to those with years of experience. Let's work together to support our children!

WCHS Pumpkin Drop 2026 Competition is tomorrow beginning at 2:45 pm - 3:21 pm. Parents, guardians, and community members are invited to join us on the front lawn.
The informational meeting being held at WCHS on Thursday, October 22 at 6:00 pm will be held in the Auditorium. Please note the location.

WCHS Weekly Update for October 19 - 24, 2026
Reminder: Workshop for parents to complete their senior's FAFSA is this Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 5-7pm in Mrs. Dotson's room. Mrs. McCallister and Mr. Myers will be there to help and answer any financial aid questions you may have. Most seniors completed their portion of the FAFSA at school on Friday. Bring your child with you if possible!
