4th 9 Weekly Midterms Monday, April 20, 2026

WCHS Weekly Events and Information for Week of April 20 - 25, 2026.

The State of West Virginia has implemented Senate Bill 466, which requires all public schools to provide annual digital safety instruction for students in grades 3–12. As part of this statewide requirement, Wirt County High School is providing this training to students on Monday, April 20, 2026..
💻 What this means for families:
• Digital safety instruction is required by state law for all students in grades 3–12
• The State of West Virginia has identified CyberSWAT (Safety While Accessing Technology) as the platform to meet this requirement
• Families are encouraged to review the materials by clicking the link below and exploring the available parent resources. Students who have opt out will complete an alternative digital safety lesson through Common Sense Media to meet state requirements.
The intent of this training is to equip students with the skills needed to safely and responsibly navigate today’s digital world. Our goal is to partner with families, provide clear information, and respect parent choice while meeting state requirements.
If you have questions or would like additional information, please contact the high school at 304-275-4241 or click on the link : https://wveis.k12.wv.us/cyberswat
