Families of WCHS Students are invited to attend this community engagement event! Students and staff will be competing against residents from the Elizabeth Care Center in several events including Basketball, Corn Hole, Bowling, Horseshoes, and Close Pin Stacking.
SIGN IN INFORMATION
All parents and guardians must report to the WCHS Main Office to sign in prior to the event. If you are taking your child home at the end of the activity, you will be asked to indicate that on the sign-in sheet.

Wirt County Schools will be closed today, April 12th, due to flooding. This will be an AIT day and the board office and school offices will be closed.

Hobby Night for this evening, 4/11, has been canceled. 

Parents are asked to complete an online survey about school climate—the learning and teaching/working conditions—to help guide school improvement efforts. The results of this survey will be used to make changes in their child's school to ensure a supportive environment for teaching and learning. The survey may be completed from any computer with an internet connection.
Parent participation in the survey is very important.  If parents have questions about the survey or problems completing the survey, please contact the high school.   To protect parent/caregiver confidentiality, at least 10 parents must complete the survey for results to be summarized for your school.

WCHS Prom Tickets are going on sale!

WCHS will be hosting SAT School Day for 11th graders on Tuesday, April 9 and Benchmark 2 PSAT for 9th and 10th graders.  Students will report directly to their testing area upon arrival at school tomorrow.
12th graders will be spending the day visiting colleges,  working on scholarships, and getting the next steps completed for after graduation - seniors will not report!

Benchmark 2 for 9th and 10th grades and SAT Test Day for 11th grades will be Tuesday, April 9.  It is important for all 9-11th grade students to be well rested, have breakfast, and be at school on time!

Wirt County Schools would like to remind students, parents, and staff that on Monday April 8th, we will experience a partial solar eclipse. This event will begin around 2 PM and conclude around 4 PM. Wirt County Schools will be on a regular schedule on Monday. If your child stays home on Monday for educational purposes to view the eclipse, please send in a note, as this educational opportunity will be an excused absence.  Wirt County Schools has put protocals in place to ensure student safety during this event. All students and staff will be provided eclipse glasses to wear during teacher led viewing and to bring home during their bus ride. Please help us in educating your child about the dangers of looking at the sun during the eclipse without special eclipse glassed made for this purpose. Thank you for your understanding and support of our efforts to safely enjoy this unique educational experience.
