Pumpkins fall, leaves descend, and the crisp autumn air fills the air. It's time for Wirt County High School's Second Annual Pumpkin Drop Contest!
Throughout the month of October, students will collaborate in their Developmental Guidance classes to design and construct pumpkin drop containers that can survive a plummeting descent from the third story of our building.
On October 27th at 2:30 p.m., we invite all parents and guardians to join us for this event. Watch in awe as pumpkins and their protective contraptions plummet through the air!
Which pumpkin will emerge victorious? Come and see for yourself! https://fb.me/e/1bu9B5CFV

OCTOBER IS DEPRESSION AWARENESS MONTH
As October is quickly approaching, now is a good time to learn more
about depression. Depression is a sad or low mood that persists for at
least two weeks. If you are experiencing depression, you are not alone.
Approximately,1 in 5 people will experience a major depressive episode
during their lifetime. There is no single cause for depression. Symptoms
vary per person and accurate diagnosis is very important. Between 80
and 90% of people diagnosed have a positive outcome to treatment.
