Dancers from the Academy of Arts at January‘s join with a dance company in Lexington to put on the full Nutcracker every holiday season. Today, they visited Wirt County as part of their community outreach program. The Academy not only delivered a wonderful performance, they also pulled back the curtain and shared what it takes to bring the production to life.

⭐Having Your Homework Finished - This is the area our students have struggled with the most this year. Most students will have math homework every night. Have them check each night this week as we get back into the rhythm after break.

📢2nd Nine Weeks Reward Trips are December 19th! Students need to have ZERO unexcused absences, 2 or less warnings, and 60 LiveSchool points in the second nine weeks to qualify! Make sure to send in notes for any recent absences!
Parent Involvement:

WCMS 5th Grade Ornament Fundraiser!
5th grade is hosting a fundraiser to support field trip costs! The approximate cost of the field trip is $35 and proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly towards any student who sells ornaments.
- Orders and money are due Nov. 21st
- Please make checks payable to WCMS.
- All ornaments are $10. For every ornament sold, $5 goes directly toward supporting the cost of a student's field trip.

A group of 25 of our 7th and 8th-grade students were invited to attend a presentation by Armstrong Ceilings today. Offered through a partnership with Explore Manufacturing WV, the Armstrong team highlighted various roles in manufacturing and engineering, discussed qualities they seek when hiring high school graduates, and walked the students through their manufacturing process. We sincerely appreciate the Armstrong Ceilings team for sharing their time and expertise with our students!
