We’re looking for our White Tigers demonstrating ROCKS traits at home. Whether it's showing "Ownership" by feeding the dog or "Kindness" in the community, we want to see it!

Stay connected and support your student this January with two fun parent involvement activities from Wirt County Middle School! By participating in both, your student can earn up to 20 LiveSchool points plus a special extra recess reward. View both activities online at https://bit.ly/wcms-Jan26. Activity #1 Snowflake Science & Art ❄️Get creative and explore the science of winter by making paper snowflakes together!
Activity #2: The ROCKS Reality Check 🐾 Help your student connect school values to the real world with a quick interview and a photo challenge. Be sure to share your photo on social media using #WCMSROCKS!
Both activities are due by January 30th.

7th Grade teachers are sending home their January parent involvement activity today! You can also view the activity online at https://aptg.co/2n4ZV7. Students and their parents can complete the worksheet by January 23rd to earn bonus LiveSchool points.
Wirt County Schools Meals To Go pick up will be tomorrow, December 19th, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM across from the high school football field.
Students in Mr. Root's English class completed their Independent Reading Logs this week. This project required consistent effort over time, thoughtful reading, and a strong level of personal responsibility. Students dedicated many hours to reading independently, tracking their progress, and reflecting on their learning. Their dedication and growth truly showed in their finished projects. The students not only rose to the occasion, but they also demonstrated significant growth as active readers. Their hard work deserves recognition and we are proud of their efforts. We wanted to showcase a few of the amazing projects.
Corrected Date! Let's wrap up the semester in the coziest way possible! Tomorrow, December 18th, will be a Pop-Up Pajama Day! We can't wait to see your festive PJs! Please make sure your pajamas are comfortable and school appropriate.
NTI Day #1 Snow Packets!
5th graders received paper copies in manila envelopes of their snow packets. All other grades either received a paper packet or could request it from their teacher. All snow packets are posted in the class Schoology groups and available online at https://www.wirtcountyschools.com/o/mcms/documents

The Title 1 Schoolwide December Parent Involvement Activity is due this Friday, December 18th. Complete the "Twelve Days of Christmas" Math Challenge with your student. Students will earn up to 15 LiveSchool points for completing and returning the activity. You can also find the worksheet online at https://aptg.co/8fxZxz.

The band concert scheduled for Tuesday, December 16 will be rescheduled for a later date. We will post more information as soon as we have a date!
Wirt County Schools will be closed tomorrow, December 16th. This will be an NTI day. Students will need to complete snow packet number 1. Administrators and 240/260 day staff will report at 9AM.

Wirt County Schools will be closed Monday, December 15th. This is an AIT day. There will be no snow packet work. Stay warm!

Tomorrow, Dec. 12th, is the LAST DAY for WCMS students to qualify for the second nine weeks reward trip. Please make sure your student brings in notes for absences!
📢 Reminder! Register for Meals to Go by December 14th! This program helps provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks for Wirt County kids while they are on extended breaks from school. There are no income requirements!
