Attendance Tiger Update!

Hi everyone—it’s me, your Attendance Tiger! I’ve had the best two days visiting Mrs. Ellison’s 4th grade class!

From the moment I arrived, I noticed how much fun this group has together while still working hard and showing up ready to learn. It made my stripes proud to see such great attendance and teamwork in action!

I sure will miss spending time (and snapping photos!) with this amazing class. But I know this isn’t goodbye forever—just “see you later!” I’m excited that there will be so many more photo opportunities waiting for them next year at the middle school.

I’ll be keeping a close eye on the Wirt County Middle School Facebook page so I can see all the fun activities and celebrate the awesome academic accomplishments that are ahead. Keep showing up, doing your best, and making me proud!

Remember…every day counts!

Foam Party Fun at WCPC!

A little rain couldn’t dampen our celebration at Wirt County Primary Center! 🌧️

Our students worked hard to earn LiveSchool points, and they reached their goal. To celebrate their success, they received a bubbly reward they won’t forget!

Thanks to Mr. McCulty and Ms. Richards, the foam machines were running all afternoon under the shelter, with music playing and bubbles flowing. Our students danced, laughed, and made the most of every minute—even with the rainy weather!

What a perfect way to celebrate their achievements and wrap up the school year. The last day of school truly couldn’t have been any more fun! 🫧

Surf’s up in Mrs. Wheeland’s class!

Students traded their desks for a day of sunshine and celebration during a Beach Bash to recognize their amazing growth in iReady Reading and Math! 🏖️

From the moment you walked in, it felt like a tropical getaway—complete with colorful leis, cool shades, and smiles as bright as the summer sun. With all of their beachy gear, it looked like a hula dance or a beach ball game might break out at any moment—but these students have definitely been working hard all year long! Their dedication paid off, and this fun-filled celebration was the perfect way to honor their progress. 😎

To top it all off, the class cooled down with a sweet ice cream treat—because nothing says “job well done” quite like a scoop (or two!) on a beach day. The second-to-last day of school couldn’t have been any sweeter! 🍦

Way to go, Mrs. Wheeland’s class!

THIRD GRADE = FOOD DRIVE CHAMPIONS!

And how do we celebrate a big win? With SILLY STRING… of course!

This morning, our amazing 3rd graders kicked off the second-to-last day of school in the most unforgettable way—by earning the right to Silly String our principal, Mrs. Taylor, in a school assembly after bringing in the MOST donations for the food drive! 🥫

Mrs. Taylor came ready (we’re talking protective gear AND a game plan 😎)…but let’s just say the 3rd graders brought their A-game. Despite her best efforts, she ended up wrapped in a colorful web of gooey, giggly chaos! 🌈

The crowd on the bleachers loved every second (lots of laughs & cheers), while the lucky students with the cans were basically living their best lives. Dreams DO come true, 3rd grade!

What a FUN and messy way to celebrate kindness, teamwork, and giving back to our community
