Hey! PreK parents! 👋
Don't forget that K-12 school starts on August 14, and we'll be announcing the start date for PreK soon! 🎉 If your child will be turning 4 before June 30, 2025, they're eligible to register for PreK. Make sure to get them signed up ASAP so they're ready for their first day!

We’re excited to welcome your child to our 2025 Summer Programs at Wirt County Primary Center! Whether your student is joining us for Energy Express or Summer School, we’re looking forward to a season of learning, creativity, and fun.
🚌 With this post is the Summer Bus Schedule for both programs. Please review it carefully to ensure your child is ready and at their designated stop on time each day.
🚌 Transportation Notes:
Please have your child at the bus stop 5–10 minutes early and be sure and be ready to get them off the bus.
Make sure your child knows his/her bus number.
If there are any changes to your child’s transportation needs, please contact the school office as soon as possible.

Wirt County Primary Center is looking for dedicated, caring volunteers to join us for the 2025–2026 school year! Whether you're a parent, grandparent, guardian, or community member, your time and support can make a big difference in the lives of our students.
To ensure the safety and success of our school community, all volunteers must complete annual training and be approved by the Wirt County Board of Education before assisting with any school activities.
✅ Volunteer training and approval are required each school year.
✅ Opportunities include fundraising help, Book Fairs, special events, Country Store assistance, and more!
We are so grateful for those who choose to give their time and talents to support our students and staff. Thank you for being a part of our WCPC family—we can’t wait to work with you!

Important Information for Parents/Guardians of PreK Students
We have been watching the weather. We noticed that it may be too cold tomorrow for the water and foam activities. Do not worry! We still have bouncy houses and other activities for our preschool students to participate in. We encourage you to pack a change of clothes for your children tomorrow. In the event that it rains, we will have an alternative plan which your classroom teacher will inform you about tomorrow. We still plan for the Fun Day to start shortly after lunch, which is at 11:30am. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's preschool teacher.

📚 Thursday, May 15, 2025 – ELA/Reading Assessment
To help your child feel confident and perform their best, we recommend the following:
✅ Get a good night’s sleep before each test day
✅ Eat a healthy breakfast at home or school
✅ Dress in layers for comfort during testing
We’re committed to supporting our students during this important time, and we know you are too! Testing can bring added stress, so your encouragement and reassurance go a long way in helping them feel calm and prepared.
