📣 3rd Grade Field Trip Reminder – Wednesday, October 22, 2025
Our 3rd grade students will be visiting the WV State Capitol and the WV Culture Center this Wednesday! Please review the important details below to ensure your child is prepared:
🚌 Departure & Return:
Students and teachers will leave PROMPTLY at 8:00 AM.
We will return in time for students to ride the bus home or be picked up as usual.
🍽️ Breakfast & Lunch:
Students should eat breakfast at home or arrive early enough to eat at school BEFORE departure.
Eating on the bus is NOT permitted.
A school lunch will be provided, but students may bring a cold lunch if preferred.
👟 What to Wear:
Tennis shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are REQUIRED.
The trip involves a lot of walking indoors and outdoors, so please have your child dress accordingly.
🚫 Other Important Notes:
Parents are not permitted to attend; we have ample school staff to chaperone.
A WCPC school nurse will be present on the trip.
No technology (phones, tablets, etc.) is allowed.
School staff will not be responsible for any personal items brought on the trip.
📞 If your plans have changed and your child will NOT attend, please notify your child’s 3rd grade teacher as soon as possible.

Even though National School Bus Safety Week is officially next week, we took advantage of today’s beautiful weather to go over bus safety procedures with our students!
National School Bus Safety Week is observed annually during the third full week of October to promote safe practices for students who ride the bus. Today, our students reviewed important safety rules like staying seated while the bus is in motion and practiced emergency evacuation procedures. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind all drivers in our community to never pass a stopped school bus with flashing lights. Thank you for helping keep our students safe as they are transported to and from school!
