Hobby Night is Thursday, December 14, at the High School from 6-7:30 pm in the Art Room.

From the WV Division of Highways Temporary Bridge Closure on Wirt County Route 22, Lynn Camp Road, to Begin Wednesday, December 5, 2023 Wirt County, WV – The bridge over Gum Run on Wirt County Route 22, Lynn Camp Road, will be closed at milepost 4.0, beginning on Wednesday, December 5, 2023, while West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) bridge crews repair damage to the bridge. Repairs are expected to take about 10 days. Recent home construction in the area led to heavier than usual truck traffic across the bridge, causing structural damage. During repairs, local residents can use County Roure 18, Courtney Ridge Road. Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances may change the work schedule.

The 2nd bridge on Lynn Camp Rd has been condemned. Students riding this bus must be picked up from school today, Wednesday, December 6, 2023, and for the next few days until a temporary bridge is made available. The school is making calls, but if you have a child who rides bus E1-Billy Wells and your stop is past the 2nd bridge on Lynn Camp, you need to pick your children up today and until a temporary bridge is put in. You can call Tim at the bus garage for more specific information at 304-275-4201. Sorry for the short notice and inconvenience, but we have just recently been informed of this situation and are doing our best to relay the information.

Parent Patch Night on Wednesday, December 6!

Please remind your children to behave their best at school so they can earn a special reward before winter break!

REMINDER! We will be having our annual Christmas concerts on Tuesday, December 5, and Wednesday, December 6. Each grade level will be performing separately. We ask that you follow the schedule and do not come to the school too early due to limited parking. We also remind you not to park in front of the Wellness Center during these events or you could be towed. Please have the tickets on the back side of the ticket form filled out prior to arriving at the concert, that way you can just hand in your ticket and go straight to the gym. Each child is permitted 3 guests and younger siblings do not need a ticket. You are permitted to sign your children out after the event. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher or the school. We would like to surround the singing Grinch in our entryway with trees made by our students. If you have time, could you please have your children draw/color/create some trees to be attached to the bulletin board? Some teachers will be doing it in their classrooms, but we would like to have as many students participate as possible!
