Dear Families,
We will be holding Open House on the following dates. We will have a couple of grades per evening, and we will be doing 2 to 3 sessions per evening. We will have PTO sign ups, filing out emergency contact forms, and meeting their new teacher. We ask that you come at the beginning of the session you choose so you get all the offered information.
Please take note of the following information and please call the school with any questions.
Tuesday August 13, 2024-PK, K and 1st grade

Students will automatically qualify for Summer EBT if they receive some type of state benefit (TANF, SNAP, ETC). If a parent feels they qualify but didn't receive the benefit, then they can fill out a free and reduced application at www.schoolcafe.com. It is a one-time $120.00 benefit good for only 4 months. It is only for kids age 6-17.

June Hobby Night at Sportsman's Park from 6 pm to 7:30 pm

WCPC Important Message: Tomorrow is Foam Party Day! Students will be outside for 45 minutes playing in foam. Students should wear clothes that can get wet to school tomorrow, and shoes that can get wet like water shoes, crocs or sandals. Please consider sending a change of clothes, shoes, sunscreen and towel.

Next week, May 6 - 10, 2024 is Teacher Appreciation Week.


May Meal Menu


Our 3rd and 4th grade students will be taking the annual state mandated tests (WVGSA) on Wednesday and Thursday (May 1 & 2) this week. Please try to make sure that your child gets a good night of rest prior to the test and arrives to school on time, so he/she can start testing with the rest of the classes. Thanks for helping us get the best results from our students!


We are excited to announce that our students have earned enough LiveSchool points to have a Foam Party on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.


We have old yearbooks for sale for $5 a piece in the office. They range from 1986 to 2011.


Prek graduation is on May 15, 2024 at 1pm.


The 3rd graders will be going to the Columbus Zoo for their field trip on May 17, 2024.


The 1st Grade Field Trip will be to a movie in Athens and lunch at Burger King on May 9, 2024.


Our kindergarten field trip this year is to the Clay Center on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

3rd and 4th graders will be taking the mandated WV Department of Educations' Reading/English and Math assessments next Wednesday and Thursday, May 1st and 2nd, 2024. Please have your child at school on time, as testing starts promptly after our morning announcements. We can't wait to have them show what they know!
