WCPC Homecoming Information, 2023
Please read and be aware of the following Homecoming information regarding WCPC students and procedures.
• If you would like to sign your child out to attend Homecoming activities with you, you must do so between 1:00-1:30 pm. Signing out prior to this will result in a ½ day absence.
• Once you sign your child out, they are out for the rest of the day and are to be supervised by you.
• If your child is to be signed out by a coach or other activity, please send a WRITTEN note Friday morning. Please do not call in at the last minute.
• Parade Line Up at the High School is 1:30pm.
• Remaining students will be walked up to the Parade route by their teachers beginning at 1:45. We dismiss youngest students first since they walk a bit slower.
• Students CANNOT be signed out at the parade route. If you would like to sign your student out after the designated hours above, you will need to return to the school with your child and sign out in the office.
Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us. We appreciate you following our procedures to keep all of our children safe.

Dear families,
If you have not already received this information at Open House, you will be receiving it soon. As the school's PBIS team leader, I wanted to tell you a little bit about some of the changes that will be happening here at Wirt County Primary Center this year. We used staff and parent feedback that we received from the surveys we sent out last year to make some updates to our behavior systems. Based on your feedback as well as what we have learned about best practices in classroom management, we will no longer be using the clip chart. Instead, we will be using a program called LiveSchool to help us track behavior. We are so excited about these changes and know the students will be too. Just check out that School Store! Those awesome rewards will be sure to grab students' attention and encourage them to EARN their stripes. We will also have coupon-type rewards where students can earn things like "seat swap," "show and tell," etc. Please review the following documents, and be on the lookout for more information regarding how to create a parent account in LiveSchool so that you can stay informed about your child's behavior in school.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Vannoy
