We want to inform you that cases of pertussis (whooping cough) have been identified within Wirt County Schools. We are working closely with public health officials to monitor the situation to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Please review the information sent home by Nurse Kelly today. All close contacts to positive cases have been notified directly and provided with appropriate health guidance. The health and well-being of of our school community remains our top priority.
